This May, Wagor Elementary School – Beitun Campus proudly became the first KidWind Distinguished School in Taiwan. To provide our students with an exceptional environment for exploring wind energy, we have established ourselves as Taiwan’s only elementary school with a dedicated Wind Laboratory. The lab is equipped with a state-of-the-art wind tunnel that delivers a stable airflow, ensuring our students' self-designed wind turbines operate under optimal conditions—safely and efficiently throughout the experimental process.

KidWind is an international educational program from the United States, dedicated to promoting renewable energy education. Its annual World KidWind Challenge is one of the most prestigious global competitions for youth in green energy technology. Since 2022, Wagor Elementary School – Beitun Campus has actively participated in the KidWind Challenge in Asia, delivering outstanding performances. In 2024, we achieved the honor of representing Taiwan at the World KidWind Challenge in the United States, showcasing our students’ remarkable talent and innovation in sustainable energy.

As a KidWind Distinguished School, Wagor Elementary – Beitun Campus will continue to leverage our exclusive facilities to host wind energy-related competitions. We are also committed to advancing professional development for teachers, with the goal of nurturing the next generation of green energy leaders with a global outlook. This year’s KidWind Team Selection Briefing attracted nearly 30 enthusiastic student participants. We also invited last year’s finalists to present their award-winning wind turbines and share hands-on experiences, sparking even greater interest in sustainability and innovation among their peers.

Looking ahead, Wagor remains dedicated to educational innovation and leadership in energy education, striving to create a forward-thinking, globally connected learning environment. We believe that education is not just about knowledge—it’s a powerful force for global transformation. Through real-world actions and meaningful programs, Wagor is lighting the way toward a sustainable future for Taiwan and the world.
